Report:
Leixlip and Maynooth served up another close contest in Maynooth on 5/11/2011. Leixlip will look back on this game as one that they could have won only for poor shooting and stray passes. A Seamus McBride goal for Maynooth ten minutes from the end but Maynooth in the driving seat but a gritty fightback by Leixlip brought them within two points. Leixlip took the game to Maynooth in the second half but they needed a gaol which never came. Maynooth now go on to play Athy in the Semi-Final.

Report:
Leixlip and Maynooth played out a very exiciting Under 21 Championship match in Radley Park. Both teams were slow to settle and scores were low. The game was nip and tuck and Leixlip looked to be on the way out only for Paul O Neill to score a brillant goal. The game ebbed and flowed and both sets of supporters were biting their nails. maynooth looked to be in the driving seats after a goal from a penalty by Michael Fahy and a further goal by Conor O Brien in extra time. But Leixlip despite being two points down at half time of extra time showed great courage and composure and worked a 30 metre free which Tommy Moolick scored to leave the sides level and a replay next week in Maynooth.Leixlip had excellent players all over. Kevein Claffey had some tremendous saves, Enna McHugh and kevin Conneely were also outstanding. Tommy Moolick had an excellent game and scores six points in total. The forwards worked very hard without getting their just rewards. It should be an equally excellent clash when the sides meet again. Leixlip: Kevin Claffey, Eoghan O Boyle, Daniel Gallery, Barry Egan, Kevin Conneely, Eanna McHugh, Paraic heneghan, Tommy Moolick, Alan Keary, Rob Tone, Paul O Neill, Eoin Molloy, Evan Killeen, Brian O Neill, Dessie Hynes. Subs Sean Talty for Dessie Hynes, Conor Cribbin for Sean Talty.
